Robert E. Bardwell, Jr. was born in Lexington, Kentucky on January 12, 1952. After graduating from the Kentucky Military Institute in Louisville , Kentucky in the spring of 1970, Mr. Bardwell attended The Ohio State University where he received a Bachelor of Arts Degree, majoring in political science. In 1988, he received his law degree from Capital University and was admitted to both the Ohio and Federal bar. He has served as an associate with the law firm of Vorys, Sater, Seymour & Pease (1988-1996), of counsel to the law firm of Rickets & Onda Co., L.P.A. (1996-2002) and as a solo practitioner (2002-present). Mr. Bardwell has worked in the area of debtor/creditor rights since 1974 in various capacities, including serving as an outside collection representative for a large department store chain going door-to-door throughout central Ohio collecting delinquent consumer debts and as a credit/collection manager for a commercial division of a major financial institution.

Mr. Bardwell is a member of the Ohio State and Columbus Bar Associations. He has lectured throughout Ohio on mortgage foreclosures and co-authored a publication entitled "Ohio Mortgage Foreclosures" for Professional Education Systems, Inc.

Serving central Ohio since 1988 as an attorney, Mr. Bardwell's practice areas include representation of debtors in Chapter 7, 11 and 13 bankruptcy proceedings, workouts (out of court settlements and restructuring of debts) and litigation matters. Mr. Bardwell's bankruptcy practice occupies better than eighty percent (80%) of his professional time.
